Spent quite a chill, scary and not so lonely time in this mansion.Looking forward to the full version

Had a really good time playing this, thanks!! Looking forward to the full game.

This was a pretty weird game. I don't mean that in a bad way just things I didn't quite understand like the monster plants and, why they all had yellow eyes. From what I understood they were all suppose to be ghosts but,  got confused with everything else added in. It's pretty dynamic and, I enjoyed the atmosphere.

The freakin' art style for this game was glorious. The creep factor was decent, but I found it much more interesting exploring the "empty" environment.

Wrote a review about your game to tell our fans:

Keep up the good work =]!

Hello there, I'm having issues trying to play this game. I downloaded it to my windows PC, but the "down" button is perpetually being pressed, even though I'm giving no player input. To even hit begin, I had to counteract the action that kept hovering over escape by holding up and clicking my mouse. Once in the game, my character kept spinning in a circle while looking down. I couldn't break him out of it or stop it, though I could hit the menu button (but it always went to the very bottom input for Escape). I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but that didn't help. I even tried playing it on a controller, but the same issues persisted. As it is, it's completely unplayable to me, so if you know what's wrong or how I can fix it, please let me know!

Hi - this is the first time I've heard of this problem.

The movement input works by listening for input on an axis, which has a deadzone of 50%. The only reason I can think of for this happening is that your keyboard's down key is sitting above that threshold at all times. Even if you are using a gamepad, the game still listens for keyboard inputs and switches if a key is pressed.

I know it isn't optimal, but you could try removing the keyboard from it's USB slot before/when you start the game, and then trying controller input. If the issue persists, either your gamepad is also above 50% (seems unlikely) or you've found a bug in the game I'll need to try and replicate. If it doesn't, then your keyboard down key must be registering as pressed.

Let me know if you try removing the keyboard and what the result is.

Hi Jamie! I figured it'd be easier to show a video of the issue, so I attached it here so you can see what I'm talking about. It's easier than trying to type an explanation, haha. I hope this helps you a little to try and figure out what's wrong.

I mean it`s much better than anything i can do so i guess it`s not that bad.

This game had a really, really interesting vibe to it. It was a bit of sad, a lot of tension, and some interesting mechanics. I have to say, it did get me pretty bad towards the latter half of the game!

I am so very intrigued by your game, the demo gave me so much and I really really want a full game! This has so much soul and lore to it, I had so much fun playing it!

Great!

I'm impressed by the staging, how the use of black & silhouette guides you and makes an interesting space to explore. Also, the text bits are actually interesting! And I liked piecing together the small hints we get of the characters.

How much longer do you expect the final to be? Looking forward to more from you!

I really like this game, it's creepy but also quite casual , got that air of surrealism . I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the full game :)

Hello! After watching Markiplier play this game I must say that the atmosphere of this game is just incredible.  By any chance will you be releasing the soundtrack(s) or is there a link of where I can find them? I've been searching all over but no luck. Keep up the fantastic work, man.

Thanks a lot! And yes, I'll release the soundtrack included with the full game, and have it available somewhere online. I'm still making new music for Lonely Things, so I will update closer to release to let people know where and how they can get the soundtrack.

Greetings bro, first of all i wanna let you know that this is one of the best games i have found this year, and the most original in terms of ambience, backstory and that kind of things, so, congrats bro!

Also want to ask if you don't mind if i base a little story (not a book but something a little bit shorter in wattpad haha) in your game, obviusly you will have the credits and that sort of things

Congratulations again bro, can't wait 4 the full game

That's fine by me if you want to use the game as an inspiration for a story - and thanks a lot for the kind words!

This game was really fun. Normally I don't play games like this, but something about this one caught my attention and just kept me interested the whole time. So it must be just that good :D

THE DEVIL HIMSELF? | Lonely Things | Demo: Part 2 | End

This game was awesome! cannot wait for the full game to come out XD i never knew the game would end here hahaha, so my bad for a short video but great job on creating this game!

Well this was very very creep, cant wait for the full thing haha

I didn't expect this game to be as great as it was. This definitely goes to show that you can't judge a book by its cover. The ambience was unique and eerie, but sort of relaxing in a morbid sort of way. The way the models moved really added onto that creepy effect. Everything in this game seemed a little out of place, in a otherworldly sort of way. No one seemed exactly normal. The whole experience painted an awesome story that made the player think, while executing a phenomenal atmosphere to keep the player's guard up for a jumpscare that may or may not have ever happened. This was great, and I loved it! Can't wait for the full version! Thanks for making this!

MR STEAL YO GIRL! | Lonely Things | Part 1

 ฅ/ᐠ。ᆽ。ᐟ \ ~Hello~

I've been meaning to play this for a while now, and I must say I'm quite impressed with it. The atmosphere, tension, and pacing so far is built up pretty well. The mysteriousness of the hotel inhabitants and the situation itself is intriguing, so I'm really looking forward to what the entire plot will be about as I find the story to be one of the most important and memorable qualities in a game.

The notes scattered around and the odd looking  npcs are a nice touch. You definitely succeeded in creating an eerie and creepy vibe (which I love). I especially liked the graphics as its something unique.

Overall, this was a fun horror and puzzle demo. I'm hopeful for the full development of it, so good job and best of luck making it!

I didn't catch this when it first came out, but I caught it now, and I'm glad I gave it a shot because I really liked it! You have a great atmosphere going on here and there was a lot of weirdness which is always great in a game! I'd much rather see this strange stuff than another "collect 8 items and run from the enemy" game, so kudos to you for that alone!

I had a lot of fun wandering around and getting to know the people. I saw your development log go into what you're going to change, and I just want to say I know your team is small, so don't expand the project too much! I don't think it's bad the way it is, and adding all those back stories and things could easily quadruple the game and it's much better to release a mediocre finished game than it is to release a great game that's only 50% done. Just my two cents!

Thanks so much for making it, I'll follow you for your future stuff. Cheers and hope you enjoy the Lumps Play. 🍻

Thanks alot for the comment and video! As for the scope, yes I'm being conservative and keeping that in mind. There won't be a deep tactical SRPG battle system in this game.

Gave it a go...

I'd call it cute and weird rather than creepy but it's entertaining and i will definitely play the full game. Great work.

I really like the aesthetic of your game!! Can't wait to see full release! Will the soundtrack be available for download with the game too?

Yep, absolutely.

Hello everyone!

I just did a Let's Play of Lonely Things, and I was really freaked out. The ambiance was on point and the way the story was portrayed was good too. I did fell off the map though hahahaha. Seriously give it a go people, this can be a great game. Oh, and jamiesime, keep it going, and keep developing it. This has potential.
